NEW - Jo Hilditch British Framboise

Jo Hilditch British Framboise is made with rasperries grown near Ledbury in Herefordshire, juiced at Pixley Berries and sent back to Jo's farm ready to be made into our latest offering. Our Framboise is made with a champagne yeast, and a small amount of sugar to taste. The flavour is fabulous, the aromas are really strong, and to taste, delicious. It will appeal to those with a slightly sweeter tooth. We produced a "Limited Edition" for Ludlow Food Festival and we sold out in two days. The branding is in the same chic slimline bottle as the Cassis and makes a perfect, and unusual gift.

Press Releases & Coverage

British CassisWho would be a blackcurrant farmer? This glossy, blue-black berry may be Britain’s secret superfruit with, weight for weight, nearly four times as much Vitamin C as an orange, but it doesn’t make life easy for its growers.

It has to be harvested at just the right time, neither under ripe nor over ripe. If it’s picked in the wet, it’s very susceptible to mould but if the weather’s too warm, it’s at risk of shrivelling or even cooking on the bush.
